"Unfortunately, we're going to probably have to do metal detectors and wands," said Falbo.
The security adjustments will be a big change for the local LGBT club, which is known for its welcoming atmosphere.
While the LGBT community grapples with this horrific crime, and the nation looks for clarity, some in Southwest Florida struggle with why it ever even happened.
"It's pride month, said Alisha Gummerman. "I don't understand why anyone would do that. It was hard to hear," she added.
