FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Police say a Lehigh Acres woman died Wednesday night after she walked in front of a vehicle and was hit.
According to Fort Myers Police, the accident happened shortly before 8pm on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Starnes Avenue, just west of Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard.
55-year-old Sandra Snee was getting off a Lee Tran Bus and began to cross MLK Boulevard. That's when they say she walked into the path of a westbound vehicle and was seriously injured in the collision.
Lee County EMS transported her to Lee Memorial Hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Investigators rules that Snee was at fault in the accident.
