LEE COUNTY, FLA.-A neighborhood on edge after the attempted kidnapping of a four-year-old little boy Monday morning on the 8200 block of Silver Birch Way.
Police arrested Geoffry Jekanoski, he is accused of attempted kidnapping.
Tyler Moose lives across the street and told Fox 4 this scared him;
"It's something that is scary and you have to keep an eye out for and make sure my wife and child are safe."
Fort Myers police Lt. Victor Medico said this was a close call and should be a lesson to parents in Southwest Florida;
"This is another golden opportunity to have that stranger danger conversation with your child, you can't have it too often."
MORE: A woman claiming to be Geoffry Jekanoski's sister called Fox 4 and said her brother has mental problems and didn't understand what he was doing. Fox 4 checked back with police, and we're told that was looked at during the investigation-the courts have ordered an evaluation and a determination will be left to them.
