CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- The fate of a Charlotte County man accused of killing a Charlotte County teen 15 years ago is now in the hands of jury.
The defense resting its case as David McMannis stands trial, charged in the death of Tara Sidarovich.
She was 19 years old when she disappeared from her Punta Gorda home in 2001. Her remains were found a year later off Burnt Store Road.
Prosecutors claim McMannis and Phillip Barr killed her after coming over to fix plumbing.
Barr has already been convicted of first-degree murder.
