FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Four in Your Corner is following a new development in the murder of Dr. Teresa Sievers. Her husband Mark Sievers, who's implicated in her death, is retaining custody of their two daughters.
On Friday, the Department of Children and Families tried to convince a judge that the girls should no longer be in his care. But Monday, the judge stood by his ruling that the agency couldn't remove the girls based on speculation.
Mark Sievers, who has not been charged with anything, has had custody ever since since Teresa was murdered inside their Bonita Springs home over the summer.
As we've reported, investigators believe Mark Sievers allegedly planned to pay off hit-men using his wife's $4 million insurance policy.
Those alleged hit-men, Curtis Wayne Wright and Jimmy Rodgers, both remain behind bars on second-degree murder charges.
