SANIBEL, Fla. -- A positive update in the recovery of an injured eaglet; one of Harriet's babies continues its road to recovery.
Doctors at the Clinic for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) animal hospital on Sanibel say Eaglet 8 is bright and alert and continues to show signs of improvement.
The eaglet was removed from its nest earlier this week after it got tangled in finishing line.
As of Thursday, it's still receiving physical therapy and a warm pack on its feet three times a day to help reduce swelling. Doctors report E8's appetite is strong and is steadily gaining weight.
E8 hatched last month in the nest of the popular Southwest Florida Eagle Cam, inhabited by Harriet and her new mate M15. Big brother E7, one day older than E8, remains in the nest.
Great news for E8 from CROW - Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, Inc. At this time, no surgery will be needed &...
