Governor Rick Scott walked into this Starbucks with the goal of getting a cup of coffee. But, instead Scott got something a little more bitter. A woman sitting near the line started shouting at him. She covered a range of topics from women's health to jobs.
The governor tried to keep the situation from getting too hot. But marketing and social media expert Chris Spiro graded how Scott handled it.
"It's hard to walk into a public environment like that and get ambushed. And that is basically what happened to the gentleman. You know he walked in obviously for a cup of coffee and he was ambushed by somebody who had an agenda," said Spiro.
The woman continued to pour out the verbal volleys. Spiro saying he thinks the governor made the most of the situation.
"He engaged the young lady. She was not willing to have civil conversation or even civil debate. He excused himself from the situation before it escalated. I think that would be a smart thing to do. He could not win in that situation," said Spiro.
