SOUTHWEST FLORIDA -- If you're hitting the road these days, then you're probably liking these gas prices, which have been falling for 43 straight days in Florida.
Prices around the country are still hovering around record lows for this time of year.
The national average is ringing in at $2.19. That's 14 cents lower than a month ago, and 56 cents lower than a year ago.
Meanwhile drivers here in Southwest Florida are now paying about $2.07 on average -- down 5 cents from a week ago, and 52 cents below last year's price. Some stations in the area have even dropped below the $2 mark.
According to AAA, these prices are expected to continue to slide through July. Though they warn that unrest in Turkey could cause a surge in crude oil prices.
