If you're a little worked up after having that last forkful of stuffing or a second or third serving of your favorite Thanksgiving dish - you're not alone.
FOX 4 spent the day talking to local personal trainers to find out the best ways to get you out of that Turkey coma.
Peter Lang with LA Fitness in Cape Coral says a few minutes will go a long way if you want to carve out those calories.
"There's a lot of great workouts that you can do at home whether it's wall sits, planks, doing little cardio around the house."
Lang says the biggest mistake people make when trying to curb calories is skipping a meal.
"People think by not eating what's going to happen is they're going to lose that weight - quite the opposite - you're going to store that fat."
Lang says there are natural ways to help raise your metabolism by eating fruit, drinking green tea, and having a cup of coffee.
"I'm not adding creamer - no sugars - anything like that," Lang said. "If we can just get some black coffee - that caffeine is going to naturally speed it up as well too. Believe it or not coffee is actually good for you."
Lila Zai with Fiercenfit Master personal training says making time for a simple work out is crucial.
"Even if it's going for a walk during your lunch hour, taking the stairs, or doing squats and lunges while cooking dinner-- it helps," Zai said." Studies show that just 5 minutes a day of hard exercise makes a difference. It spikes our metabolism all day."
Zai suggests high intensity interval training (HIIT) with focus on upper body, lower body, and abs.
"Simple exercises to start with are push-ups, lunges, high knees, sit-ups, jump rope, step ups, and squats."
She recommends working out for 50 seconds and taking 10 seconds of rest.
"You'll be burning extra fat all day long. Look up HIIT workouts online and follow along! You don't need weights or the gym in order to get fit."
