FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A drive-by shooting in Fort Myers is now being considered a murder investigation after the victim has died from his injuries.
The shooting happened around 10:00 am Monday outside a home on Parkway Street.
When police arrived, they reportedly found 30-year-old Jamorris Byrd lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. He was eventually rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
Police say the suspect in this case may have been driving a silver SUV, possibly a Ford Excursion or Explorer.
