Police still looking into ZombiCon shooting tips

Posted

FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) - A tipster who police believe witnessed the ZombiCon shooting in November didn't call back, despite a plea by police through the media, but another tipster called and corroborated the tip.

Fort Myers Police say that the tipster who called between Nov. 11 and Nov. 13 has crucial information that may help find the person that shot and killed Expavious Tyrell Taylor and injured several others amid 20,000 attending the zombie-themed charity block party in the heart of downtown Fort Myers on Oct. 17.

Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers spokeswoman Trish Routte and Fort Myers Police Chief Dennis Eads stood in front of the police station Tuesday and implored the November tipster to call.
