FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A Fort Myers home went up in flames early Wednesday morning, with flames engulfing nearly the entire house.
The good news is the fire is out and the family inside is okay along with their pets, but firefighters are calling the home a total loss..
Fire crews responded to the home on Kenneth Road around 4:30am and arrived to find visible flames rising above the house. They tell Fox 4 that the biggest flames appeared to be over the garage, and the fire spread from there.
Firefighters say the flames from the garage were the hardest to put out, due to what they call a "free-flowing fuel fire" that had to be put out with foam rather than water.
