Former Naples officer cleared on excessive force accusation

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- A federal jury has just cleared a former Naples police officer accused of using excessive force and violating constitutional rights back in 2012.

Three people filed a lawsuit against former officer Kyle Bradshaw, who was responding to a party noise complaint. The trio claimed Bradshaw forced his way into their apartment on Bayfront Place without a warrant and later bloodied their faces during a scuffle.

But bradshaw argued that he had a legal right to enter the condo because one of the tenants hit him and then ran inside.

The jury ultimately agreed.
