FORT MYERS, Fla. - Another violent shooting at the Landings at East Point apartments in east Fort Myers Monday night.
A 6 year-old child is caught in the crossfire, taking a bullet to the leg. Even more disturbing, this same child is no stranger to drive by shootings.
Fort Myers police confirm the child and his mother where in the car of another shootout just last year.
That previous violent episode was in September when four people were injured in a string of shoot-outs, in just one day.
The Chief of Police says, "It's relatively isolated to individuals and a geographic area. It's not all the entire city, it's not everywhere, and it’s not everyone. It's groups of individuals that have beefs with each other."
