Students at FGCU participated in the FGCU "Blue and Green Goes Blue and Black" walk in order to unify Lee County's Police Department and the Lee County community.
The event was sponsored by FGCU's Nationals Black Law Student Association.
Students and officers began walking at the Ft. Myers Police Department and ended at Lee County's Black History Society Building.
Participants wore the colors black and blue to symbolize the black community and the police force.
