Family, friends and concerned community members met at the Charlotte BMX Park in Punta Gorda to dedicate a memorial bench in memory of Devin Federly.
Devin, 14, was killed by a hit and run driver on February 26, 2016.
The driver of that truck still remains at large.
“It’s been a difficult year for Devin’s family and friends, and not knowing who is responsible only compounds the pain,” said Trish Routte, Crime Stoppers Coordinator. “The placement of the bench at the BMX Park, where Devin and his friends spent so much of their time, will be a constant reminder of Devin’s love of riding. The family also hopes that it will also serve as a reminder that his case remains unsolved and that there is still a need to help bring justice for Devin and his family.”
