PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — A coffeehouse in Punta Gorda is brewing up more than just a cup of coffee. They're now serving up a latte Trump merchandise.

The Bean on 41 Coffee Shop is making sure Trump supporters can stop in for all their caffeine and campaign merchandise needs.

The owner says he decided to rebrand in January after a new Starbucks hurt business.

Along with freshly brewed coffee, he now sells Trump gear, like hats, masks, and t-shirts.

"What it did for business is it saved the coffee shop. Basically, we weren’t going to make it on a new kind of frittata or some new gluten free donuts. We needed this place to be a place people wanted to come so this is what we did to create that," said Tom Watson, owner.

He says the pro-Trump atmosphere also created a safe space for supporters to hang out and make friends.

The Bean on 41 has flag waving and peaceful protesting planned for 4 p.m. on Election Day in front of their business at 2705 Tamiami Trail.
