"A hard look at everything that’s been going on in the city. To make sure we are in line."

Anderson, a veteran of the United States Army, served 24 years with the Fort Myers Police Department and is currently the councilman representing Ward 4.

She was also asked what would be the first thing she would do if elected.

"We need law enforcement that is going to make us feel safe. So that’s the city's priority," McMiller says.

"At least, that should be the city's priority. And, that’s what I’m going to work on."
