FORT MYERS, Fla. — Byron Donalds is being sued by Casey Askar for allegedly making false accusations and smears when both ran for the 19th congressional district in the primary election.
Askar claims he was falsely accused of sending a text just before the primaries that Donalds had dropped out of the race. He feels Donald made this accusation to make him look bad and is seeking $30,000 in damages.
Donalds went on to win the General Election.
