BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. -- Paramedics were able to pull the driver out of a submerged vehicle Monday morning after a vehicle drove into a canal.
According to Bonita Springs Fire, the crash happened just before 10am on Pennsylvania Avenue near Tennessee Street.
First responders arrived to find a vehicle rolled over and partially submerged in a canal. Three paramedics, with the help of a Lee County Sheriff's Office Corporal, were able to remove the unresponsive driver from the vehicle and regain a pulse on scene.
The driver was determined to have been in cardiac arrest. They were transported to North Collier Hospital for further treatment.
