SANIBEL, Fla. — City leaders in Sanibel met this morning to hold a special meeting.
On the agenda, they discussed the possibility of mandating masks.
Council members voted and agreed to mandate masks on the island.
City Council says they will require masks to be worn in public places including restaurants, stores, and public buildings.
They are not requiring them outside and on the beach where people are able to socially distance.
This will go into effect on July 3rd until further notice.
