PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — A Punta Gorda family with six kids shares what they do to stay organized and busy during the coronavirus lockdowns.

The Keeling family say they've had to stay organized and creative at home for the last month and a half.

The parents also still work, so they rotate help around the full house.

Mom Shani Keeling says on weekday mornings, they're juggling five kids from pre-k to high school doing their online learning since school closed.

Everyday, the family tries to find something fun, creative, and even new to stay entertained at home.

“They get really bored. They want to be with their friends and be able to socialize and have that kid time they’re so used to having while being in school. It’s just trying to re-create that by doing a recess or doing some art projects," said Keeling.

Several of the kids have picked up new hobbies, like drawing on paper or the iPad.

The kids say they've been having fun but are ready for the lockdowns to be over so they can see their friends.

"I want to go back to school. I miss you all," said Shania, 6 years old.

"I miss everyone and I hope everyone is staying safe," added Analeigh, 10 years old.

"I miss school and we hope you stay safe," said Arianni, 9 years old

Many local parents can relate to juggling multiple kids, jobs, and responsibilities.
