Here's a message of hope.
Ivan Munoz Suarez is a Lee Health employee.
He was also diagnosed with COVID-19 and treated in the ICU at HealthPark Medical Center.
Suarez spent 8 days on a ventilator.
On Thursday, Lee Health shared this video showing Suarez leaving the ICU, while healthcare workers cheered and applauded.
He will remain at the hospital for a few more days, until he’s recovered.
