LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Department of Health-Lee (FDOH) and Lee County government are scheduling about 2,500 vaccination appointments for Friday, Jan. 29, at the county’s site near the airport.

The toll-free reservation line will open at 9 a.m., Wednesday, at 866-200-3468. This is the same phone line the state vendor, Tidal Basin, used the last two weeks. Appointments are available for seniors 65 and older and frontline healthcare workers at this time.
The phone line will not accept appointments before 9 a.m. Wednesday. The reservation slots are expected to be claimed quickly, likely within minutes.
When people make appointments, the state vendor, Tidal Basin, will prompt them to provide their ZIP code. Only people with appointments will be vaccinated this week at the site, which is off Daniels Parkway near Southwest Florida International Airport.
When those with appointments arrive, a Florida Driver License or Florida Identification Card will be required, or two additional documents. Visit www.leegov.com/vaccine for examples of acceptable documents.
Florida residency documentation does not apply to first doses for healthcare providers. It also does not apply to individuals receiving their second dose. More than 5,700 individuals have appointments scheduled at the site for second doses Wednesday and Thursday this week.
The state vendor is making calls this week to schedule second doses for individuals who were vaccinated from Jan. 5 through Jan. 9. Second doses will be administered for those with appointments on Feb. 3 and Feb. 4. People who are due for second doses the week of Feb. 8 will be contacted and scheduled at a future date.
Individuals receiving their first dose on Friday will leave the site with a scheduled time and date for their second dose. The time will be the same time of day they were scheduled for their first dose. The information will be noted on the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card each person receives. FDOH-Lee and the county started using this second-dose scheduling method last week.
The state continues to work on rolling out an online reservation system. This week, calling the phone number to reserve an appointment remains the only option in Lee County.
