CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Healthcare workers at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda received their first doses of the COVID-19 vaccine yesterday.
"We are so thankful for everything that our staff and medical providers are doing to care for patients during these unprecedented and challenging times. Their safety and the safety of patients is our highest priority," said Tara McCoy, Chief Executive Officer at Bayfront Health Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda.
"Prevention is key since there is no cure for COVID-19. Vaccination is an important step in helping to prevent this illness and its potentially devastating consequences".
