If you're seeing a lot more dirt being turned these days in Collier County, it's not an illusion.
Construction is on the rise in the County, particularly on the commercial side. It's being propelled by the region's swelling population.
"As this area grows, there is more demand for the stores and retail and the restaurants and so on and so forth," said David Wallace of CRE Realty.
In the past several months a new Sam's Club and Burlington Coat Factory have arrived in Naples.
"What has happened is we're getting more people that are living down here longer, they need the services and trades that come out of more people living down here," said Wallace.
Wallace says most of the building boom will continue east of I-75, but there will also be construction in downtown Naples.
"It's like a large shopping center where you've got an anchor on both ends, and now you've got the infill taking place on both anchors."
Other stores arriving in 2016 include SteinMart. Marshall's, and Texas Roadhouse.
