The United States Coast Guard says it has recovered the body of a missing paddle boarder off Fort Myers Beach.

The Coast Guard began the search around 8:30 a.m. Saturday and discovered the body just before 11 a.m.

The paddle boarder's name has not been released, but the Coast Guard will be taking the body to the Coast Guard station on Fort Myers Beach.

The Coast Guard says a 62-year-old man was paddle boarding with his wife when he fell off and disappeared under the water.

Five vessels from different agencies searched for the man near the Fort Myers Beach pier.  His body was discovered by divers near where he fell from the board.

The investigation into what happened continues.
