PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- People living in Punta Gorda are getting serious about protecting their hard earned money after police identified two tampered ATMs in the area.
Lt. Katie Heck told Fox 4 a woman alerted police when she put her card and information into an ATM and no cash came out. "Someone had super glued the cash door shut."
Police think that someone could have been planning to come back later and grab whatever cash was inside. They didn't get away with anything, but once they're identified, they'll be charged with criminal mischief.
