CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- The Cape Coral Fire Department came to the rescue of a dozen ducklings who fell into a storm drain.
It happened Wednesday afternoon, ironically, just outside the mother-baby unit at Cape Coral Hospital.
Firefighters had to get creative to fish the ducklings out of the water with a net while also blocking the drain with a backboard, keeping the ducklings from floating away.
Firefighters were then able to scoop them up into a bucket before reuniting them with their mother.
