CAPE CORAL, Fla. -- Police are investigating a serious crash that happened along Pine Island Road near Hibiscus Drive, Saturday morning around 9:20 a.m.
Officers say a Kia Soul, driven by Thomas Hierspiel, 81, turned in front of a Kia Sedona minivan.
The minivan, driven by Linda Long, 55, of Cape Coral, collided with the Kia Soul.
Police say Hierspiel was violating the right of way.
Hierspiel suffered serious injuries and was trauma-alerted to a local hospital for treatment.
Long suffered minor injuries in the crash.
This is an ongoing investigation.
