CAPE CORAL, Fla.-- A Cape Coral couple is under investigation for allegedly hosting sex parties with alcohol and drugs for underage teenagers.
Cape Coral PD first learned of the case after school administrators at a Cape Coral school heard about sex parties taking place at a home along Pelican Boulevard. The report states the couple would charge the teenagers a cover to get inside. But once inside they could take drugs like Xanax and drink alcohol, even participate in sexual activities with other party goers if they wanted.
"My wife and I, and the rest of us consider this a safe neighborhood. So I guess it jut goes to say you never know what can happen," said resident Gregory Smith.
Smith who lives down the street says he's stunned, especially being a parent and grandparent, that something like this might be happening so close to his home. "I don't think young kids are street wise today," said Smith.
Cape PD wouldn't confirm any details, but the report said DCF and Cape police officers would be assigned to the case.
"I think parents really need to stay closer to their children and monitor them as to what their activities are," said Smith.
