LUBBOCK, TX--- A Texas Tech University police officer has been shot and killed at the campus police headquarters.
The university taking to their twitter account prompting a lockdown of the Lubbock campus and telling students to take shelter.
Campus officials say a campus police officer went into 19 year-old, Hollis Daniels room when they found evidence of drugs and drugs paraphernalia,
Officers took Daniels into custody and that is when the suspect pulled out a gun and shot the officer in head, killing him.
The suspect was on the run and has now been captured and taken into custody by police.
University officials have cleared students from being on lockdown.
