FORT MYERS, Fla. -- A Miami-based business is using job opportunities to help change of the image of the Dunbar community, which is often in the headlines for violence.
Crown Linen, which provides linen service for hotels, plans to open a new facility next month on Hanson Street near Veronica Shoemaker Boulevard. Wednesday, the company held a job fair as it looks for certified route drivers. mechanics, and laundry workers.
The company says the plant will start off slowly at the beginning of February and ramp up throughout the month. And when it reaches full capacity, it's expected to employ about 130-140 people.
