COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- A teacher is now behind bars after being accused of hitting a blind student.
It happened at Big Cypress Elementary school.
According to the arrest report, Barbara Margaron slapped the student in the face after he nudged his lunch tray against her a few times. Deputies say the student is fully blind and uses a cane to get around.
Deputies say she was also being investigated for hitting a child back in March.
Margaron is now banned from working for the Collier County School District.
