11 vehicles have been set on fire in the past week throughout an area of Collier County.
North Collier Fire Chief James Cunningham says the latest incident happened around 11:30 Thursday night at 3250 Cypress Way, off Pine Ridge Road.
4 vehicles were set on fire.
"The police knocked on my door and told me, your car is on fire downstairs," said Yaning Guzman.
Her Honda CRV, and three other cars were damaged by the fire in the parking lot of the Cypress Glen condominiums. The flames were so intense, they punctured a hole in the car port and melted a light post.
"One exploding could probably lead an entire chain exploding so yeah, it could be pretty bad," said Daniel Rojas.
The other fires occurred at 5910 Taylor Road on August 30th and at 2240 Corporate Boulevard on August 28th.
"I will tell you that it is very unusual for our district to have this many vehicle fires in this short of time," said Cunningham.
Cunningham is waiting for test results that show whether an accelerate was used to start the fire.
There is no description of a suspect at this time.
