Armed man sought in Circle K robbery

Posted

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers is asking for the public's help identifying an armed robber who held up a North Fort Myers Circle K convenience store Sunday night.

It happened at the store located at 2790 North Tamiami Trail, across from Shell Factory, around 6 p.m. on Sunday.

A clerk in the store says a white male came into the business, claiming he had a weapon, and demanding cash.  The clerk complied and the suspect fled the area in a white, newer model vehicle, possibly a Volkswagen Jetta.

The suspect is described as a white male, roughly 5'5", wearing a white hoodie, black gloves and a white mask and sunglasses.

Detectives think he may also be involved in other robbery investigations in the North Fort Myers area.  On November 17th, a man with a similar description robbed another Circle K not far away.

Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at www.swflcrimestoppers.org or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
