FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Anti-Trump sentiments are being shared by protesters across the country. Now two protests are planned in Fort Myers on Friday.
According to an event page on Facebook, dozens of people are expected to march from Harborside to the Courthouse on Friday night to demonstrate their unity against rhetoric of hate and intolerance.
Many people have been voicing their support on social media for organized demonstrations, while some people on social media are calling these groups "ignorant" for protesting the election of Donald Trump.
The other event also planned for downtown is being organized to show America that love trumps hate. That's according to the group's Facebook pagehttps://www.facebook.com/events/577196529130565/?active_tab=about. Organizers call Trump's presidency absolutely terrifying. They are asking people to bring signs, megaphones, and are planning to chant "Make America love again."
There's also been talks that the two protests may join together as one.
Both events are expected to start at 5 pm, and organizers are urging those attending that these protests are meant to be peaceful.
