Two injured in drive-by shooting in Fort Myers

**UPDATE (9:30AM)** -- Deputies say two people were injured by gunfire while driving along Gladiolus Drive Wednesday night.

According to the Lee County Sheriff's Office, at approximately 8:22 p.m. Wednesday, the male and female victims were in a car when another vehicle pulled along side them and began firing guns at their car. "My daughter-in-law said she heard a bunch of shots," said one neighbor. "I have a lot of little grandchildren. You never know where anythings going to happen these days. It's getting bad."

The two victims went to HealthPark Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

There was no description offered of the suspect's vehicle. One victim chose not to pursue charges.

Investigators say the incident was not a random event, and continue looking for the person or people responsible.

FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Lee County Sheriff's Deputies found shell casings on Gladiolus Drive and Edisto Way Wednesdary evening.

Investigators weren't saying if they had anyone in custody, but several deputies were on the scene.

No arrests have been made.
