The Fort Myers Police Department will announce new body cameras for all uniformed police officers.

The new cameras will be announced at a news conference Tuesday.

Lieutenant Jay Rodriguez tells 4 In Your Corner the "Axon Body 2"  officers will wear the "Axon Body 2" body cameras.

At the news conference, leaders will demonstrate the new cameras and new Taser technology.

Fort Myers police spent more than a million dollars to replace the old body cameras and tasers.

103 cameras will be replaced.

The new cameras will work together.  Whenever a taser is activated, all body cameras in the area will start recording.
