Many families buy bed sheets at Target, especially during back to school season.
Target is known for trendy products at low prices. But the popular retailer is in trouble for selling knockoff Egyptian cotton sheets.
Refunds Available to Shoppers
Target is offering millions in dollars in refunds to shoppers.
The sheets, manufactured by Welspun India, claimed to be real Egyptian cotton, but in reality was just cheap basic cotton, according to a report in Business Insider. However, they were priced at premium levels.
Target, which was unaware of the labeling error, sold them until recently. It recently pulled the sheets from the store.
