PLACIDA, Fla. — The two pilots of a private plane were unharmed after a crash at the Coral Creek Private Airport in Placida Tuesday.
The crash was caused by malfunctioning landing gear and a minor gas leak, which lead to an improper landing, according to Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
Charlotte County Fire and EMS responded to the scene.
The Federal Aviation Administration has been notified and will be involved in the investigation.
