CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — The Englewood Fire Department said a 14-year-old girl has been airlifted to a hospital following a crash in front of Lemon Bay High School.
The department said the crash happened around 7AM and involved two students - one in a car and one on a bicycle.
Englewood Firefighters said they had to lift the child from underneath the car.
The sheriff's office said the bicyclist was alert and conscious, however, the incident is still being actively investigated.
