CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — A single-car crash caused a power outage in Charlotte County early Thursday morning.
The crash happened when the car veered off the roadway and collided with a telephone pole.
The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Electrical power was out for an extended period of time on Willmington Boulevard and Coliseum Boulevard according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
