CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — If you're driving around Lee and Charlotte counties, you may notice some hazy skies. The Florida Forest Service said it's a prescribed burn just north of the Lee County line.
Officials tell Fox 4 the 1,100-acre fire is burning in Charlotte County, just two miles east of State Road 31.
The burning was authorized by the Myakka River Florida Forest Service.
