PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. — On Monday afternoon Charlotte County Fire and EMS were dispatched to a house fire on the corner of Oswego and Riverhead Avenue.
Charlotte County Fire says the 911 call heard cracking and saw black smoke.
Crews arrived to heavy smoke coming from the home.
Charlotte County Fire says one person was transported to a local hospital, while two others stayed.
The Charlotte County Fire Marshal determined the fire to be accidental, caused by smoking.
