Barbara's Friends Golisano Children’s Hospital Cancer Fund held their Christmas party on Saturday.
The party was held at Lexington's Country Club where more than 200 kids were there getting into the holiday spirit. Fox 4 evening anchor Jane Monreal joined the festivities and spent time with some of the children.
Since opening, the Barbara’s Friends Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Outpatient Center has treated over 8,000 sick children throughout Southwest Florida.
More than 50% of the children treated for cancer at Golisano Children’s Hospital are uninsured, on Medicaid or have no form of payment. These fundraisers help the hospital treat children regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
