MARCO ISLAND, Fla. -- Less than 24 hours after Hurricane Irma made landfall on Mrco Island, residents are being let over the bridge to return to their homes.
Reporter Max Darrow says authorities began letting drivers across the road this morning, and some are finding significant damage when they return.
Earlier Monday, Fox 4 was live from the beach on Marco Island where good Samaritans were seen returning a stranded dolphin to the water.
First look at a damaged home here on Marco Island, about 1/3 of the roof is off. #HurricaneIrma #AfterIrma @fox4now @kgun9 pic.twitter.com/zXZkK8JISl
