COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- A death investigation is underway after three bodies were found in the middle of the Everglades.
According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, the bodies were discovered shortly after noon Thursday in the 54200 block of Tamiami Trail East, in Ochopee.
"I just knew there was something wrong, bad wrong," said Jim Bronson, who found the bodies.
Bronson says he spotted the car early Thursday morning parked along Tamiami Trail, about 5 miles west of the Miami-Dade County line.
He saw a woman in the front seat.
"She was slumped over to the passenger's side and there was blood on her face, and I could tell that her eyes were open."
