FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Fort Myers woman has been arrested after an undercover operation determined she was using her residence to do facial tattooing, also known as permanent make-up.

An undercover officer with the Lee County Sheriff's Department spoke with Rina Julieta Campos-Barrera on the phone and set up an appointment to have her eyebrows tattooed at Campos-Barrera's home. After arriving at the home, the undercover officer spoke with Campos-Barrera and agreed to pay $350 for the tattooing services.

Once the deal was made, the officer used a pre-determined phrase to alert other officers that the deal was made and a crime was committed.

When officers went into the home, they found pills, which were later determined to be Gabapentin, in plain view on the kitchen countertop. They also found various items used for tattooing and paraphernalia, such as ink bottles and needles.

Since Campos-Barrera does not hold an active license for tattooing, and the fact that her personal residence does not qualify as a registered tattooing establishment, Campos-Barrera was arrested.
