GOLDEN GATE, Fla. -- The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Golden Gate on Sunday night that they say could be connected to two other robberies earlier this month.

According to the sheriff's office, deputies responded to 7 Food Mart on Santa Barbara Boulevard just north of Coronado Parkway around 9:41 p.m. following a report of an armed robbery.

Surveillance video shows two men enter the store and demand money from the clerk. One was armed with a handgun and the other was armed with a rifle. They fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money.

"They seemed vicious, and very coordinated on what they were doing," said Patrick Tankoo, a manager at the store. He said his cousin was the clerk the robbers held up.

Deputies, assisted by K-9 and Aviation units, searched the area but were unable to locate the men.

The suspect with the handgun was wearing a camouflage jacket, green pants and a black face mask.

The suspect with the rifle wore a black jacket, black pants and a black mask.

"These guys are out there, and they could do this to somebody else," Tankoo said. "I hope the police officers really get on top of this situation and bring these guys to justice."

Deputies believe this robbery may be connected to previous ones committed at the Rose Supermarket on June 10th and the K Square Food Mart on June 12th.
